Elton Chigumbura hit an undefeated half-century and took three wickets on Tuesday to lead Zimbabwe to a five-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first of five limited-overs internationals.
After claiming 3-27 from eight overs to help dismiss Bangladesh for 186, Chigumbura hit 60 in a stand of 99 with Stuart Matsikenyeri (47) to steer Zimbabwe to victory with more than 15 overs to spare at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Chigumbura hit nine boundaries and a six in 50 balls.

Abdur Razzak briefly gave Bangladesh hope by taking 3-0 in five balls for Zimbabwe to fall to 39-3 in the eighth over. The spinner had Justice Chibhabha (26) and Brendan Taylor out lbw in successive balls, and then bowled Tatenda Taibu for a duck.
Hamilton Masakadza was out for 10, caught by Raqibul Hassan at backward point off Rubel Hossain to make it 54-4 in the 13th over. Eight overs later, Coventry was caught for 32 by Razzak at deep midwicket off Dollar Mahmud for 90-5.
Razzak took 3-36, while Hossain and Mahmud picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim hit a half-century after Zimbabwe captain Prosper Utseya won the toss and sent the hosts in to bat.
Rahim made 56 from 78 balls with five fours and received support from lower-order batsman Mahmud, who smashed 41 off 30, including three sixes and four boundaries.

Rahim and Mahmud put on 54 runs for the ninth wicket before Bangladesh was dismissed with more than three overs to spare.
Chigumbura removed openers Junaid Siddique for 0 and Tamim Iqbal for 5 to reduce Bangladesh to 5-2 in the fourth over. He followed up 11 overs later to dismiss Mohammad Ashraful for 20.
Chamu Chibhabha claimed 2-28 and Kyle Jarvis 2-43, while Ray Price and Graeme Cremer each claimed one wicket.
