Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her 36th birthday amidst close family and friends on November 1st, 2009. The actress has just completed a grueling schedule for the Mani Ratnam directed Raavan, which also features real life hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

Ash’s pa-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan has penned in his blog, “To those that have wished a happy birthday to Aishwarya, may I on her behalf thank you for your kindness and love.
